I think sometimes we get so intellectual that we make the average person, the one that just needs a word from the Bible, that word that will stop them from killing themselves (because the Holy Spirit told them to read a certain passage) not want to be bothered. But we as intellectuals would have them to pick it apart. Sometimes we just want to read the word and receive some hope from it.

I know we are to study to show ourselves approved. I know as teachers we must break the bread of life in the correct manner, but what about those who just don't want to hear how deep we can go with the scriptures? My great, great grandmother and grandfather who were not allowed to read made it through their lives without being intellectual on just their faith in Jesus and they went through pure Hell.

Again I am not saying not to study and not to learn and not to better our understanding of the Bible, but sometimes I believe we just go deeper than it is necessary. I think we forget about the person that just needs to hear that God still loves them and cares.AWnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-120258547974316772.post-64492761956903445932012-03-28T23:30:28.064-07:002012-03-28T23:30:28.064-07:00Good word JoeGood word Joeoldtreehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09421486149876791876noreply@blogger.com
