I am in total agreement with you.

One thing that really stuck out for me in this article is, "it's sad to say, the issue is not always is it right or true, but will it offend or upset someone. Although this is true, we still as disciples of Christ are to teach the gospel as you say 4 Liberty Sake, "tell people to do what Jesus said we should do", and stop being afraid of the results of what we are mandated to do. Our job is to plant the seed and allow God to handle the rest.

And you also have those who get so upset when you don't believe what they believe. Once you express, teach, preach, tell of Jesus Christ and what you believe and the person still does not believe or approve, let it go.AWnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-120258547974316772.post-13510672045361309222012-02-11T07:03:56.399-08:002012-02-11T07:03:56.399-08:00I understand the logic in this post, but I also wo...I understand the logic in this post, but I also would like to add that Jesus (in His humanity) said that he didn't know the day or the hour of His coming, so to be watchful. We also have to understand that a day to the Lord is like a thousand years to us, and He is very patient in His desire to not lose one wayward soul, so while I appreciate the logic presented here. We're not called to rely on our own uderstanding. Nor are we called to use human logic as a motivating factor in presenting Bible theories. I would like to bring to the forefront a position that I've taken that is not only best for me, but also is safest to teach everyone else. Whenever we are trying to present a position, we must examine the fruit that its going to produce in our own lives, and the lives of others. At the end of the day, what good does it do to present the notion that everything already happened, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride? On the opposite end of the spectrum, what good does it do to say your visitation is at the cusp so be fearful and try to love God? In my book... these two positions that create rather unfruitful extremes, and we should be careful to just tell people to do what Jesus said we should do. Take it one day at a time, because each day presents enough troubles of its own.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18107071793702067046noreply@blogger.com
